Bubblepad vs Clanker: Base Launchpads Compared
Clanker and Bubblepad both launch tokens straight into Uniswap liquidity on Base, no bonding curve. The differences are where you launch from, how long the liquidity is locked, and how much of the fee stream the creator keeps.

What Clanker Is
Clanker is a token launcher born on Farcaster: you tag the Clanker bot in a cast, describe your token, and it deploys the token with a Uniswap pool on Base. It pioneered the no-bonding-curve model on Base, seeding single-sided liquidity so the token trades immediately, and it routes a share of the pool's trading fees back to the creator. The Farcaster-native flow made it the default for that community, and later versions added a web app and more configuration.
Mechanically, Clanker and Bubblepad are close cousins: both mint the supply, open a Uniswap market in one step, and keep the liquidity locked while fees flow to the creator. That makes the differences a matter of degree and design taste rather than category.
Where They Differ
- Launch surface: Clanker's home is Farcaster (cast to launch), with a web app alongside. Bubblepad is a full dApp: launch form, live charts, feed, profiles, and a built-in screener, no social account required.
- Creator fee share: Bubblepad hardcodes 80% of collected trading fees to the creator and 20% to the protocol staking pool, immutable in the locker contract. Clanker also shares fees with creators, but the split has varied across its versions and the protocol keeps its own cut; check the current terms before launching.
- Pools: Bubblepad launches on Uniswap v4 in native ETH with zero hooks. Clanker has used v3 and later v4 with its own hook infrastructure, which enables extra features but adds code between every swap.
- Social layer: Clanker inherits Farcaster's graph. Bubblepad builds its own in-app layer (comments, bull/bear calls with a tracked accuracy board, follower feeds) tied to on-chain activity.
- Chains: Clanker is Base-centric. Bubblepad runs on Base, BNB Chain, and Robinhood Chain from one interface.
When to Choose Which
Choose Clanker if your audience already lives on Farcaster: launching from a cast where your followers can buy instantly is a genuinely great distribution loop, and Clanker's brand is strong in that ecosystem.
Choose Bubblepad if you want the largest hardcoded creator fee share, a 10-year lock you can verify in one click, native-ETH v4 pools with no hooks in the swap path, or you want to launch the same way on more than one chain. And if you are not a Farcaster user at all, Bubblepad requires nothing but a wallet.
Frequently asked questions
Do Clanker and Bubblepad use bonding curves?
No, neither does. Both seed real Uniswap liquidity at launch so the token trades immediately at a transparent price. That separates both from pump.fun-style curve launchpads.
Who keeps more trading fees, a Clanker creator or a Bubblepad creator?
Bubblepad's split is fixed on-chain: 80% of collected fees to the creator, 20% to the staking pool. Clanker shares fees too but its split has changed across versions, so compare the current numbers at launch time.
Can I use Bubblepad without Farcaster?
Yes. Bubblepad is a standalone dApp: connect a wallet, launch, trade, comment. No social account is needed.
